How the new data chip improves performance?
One of the most important improvement in the car industry was
the introduction of computerized engine-control. Today most
automobiles are controlled by a on-board computer. This "brain" reacts
to data input constantly received from various sensors located
on the car's engine. It then makes decisions affecting fuel delivery,
ignition spark advance, torque converter lockup, EGR. etc ...
The removable factory data chip within the onboard computer provides
programmed instructions to make these decisions. This new data
chip programs these instructions to improve your car's performace.
Quicker acceleration is obtained by adjusting the timing curve
and air/fuel mixture.
Faster RPM shifting is achieved through delaying torque converter
lockup, which maximizes horsepower output.
The max speed limiter (fund on some car models) is disabled.
